How do people with chronic diseases handle relationships? Is it fair to make the person you are with take care of you? How do you make sure your partner doesn't disappear into the role of being your caregiver? How do you take care of the person when most, if not all, of the care and attention is usually on you? How do you make sure that you don't drain your partner too much? How much is too much to ask from a person? How do you deal with all this, while struggling to stay alive? How do you handle your limitations from being sick, and balance that with being there for and showing up from your person? Is it selfish to want a person when you know that you will give very little compared to what the person will give? Is it selfish or wrong to always run to that person when you are sick/broken/overwhelmed? Does that not count as using a person?
