Moving on

After a break up is there a set period of time one should wait before they go out to start looking for someone new? Are variables involved that change that amount of time? For example length of the relationship, feelings towards one another at the end of it, are kids a factor.

However long it takes for you to be completely healed is the appropriate amount of time

I don't think it's a time factor, you just need to be emotionally ready to give to a new person without projecting whatever hurt/ guilt or bad feelings you may have as a result of your past relationship

I agree with @Tracy but I'd focus on the word *completely*. You need to be fully healed emotionally from the other person and fully moved on in every area for in order to attract a healthy partner.

I don't think there is a set period. Everyone is different, some may need more time than others before dating again. I think it all boils down to how genuinely ready you are to date again. (Having kids though may be a factor as they should be given great consideration). Just my two cents.

Kid is always a factor , i cant say what's the period of time cause i don't have 1 so.i cant judge... But if.you talking about relationship then it depend on yourself , some people a day , some a month , some 6 month. But don't feel shy about to answer this in your heart since u already know u are ready to look.for 1
